This homeowner wanted to update a dated backyard that already had a unique shape and feel. The customer wanted to create an outdoor living space that had a “wow” factor and could be used during any season. To create this space, we included a fire feature and replaced outdated French doors with new sliding doors.

The fire feature peaks at the top of the vaulted ceiling where we also installed decorative cedar beams. We needed to remove windows on the existing house in order to complement the roof.

To completely close the space and protect from sun or cold weather, we installed
retractable screens around each opening and windows inside the triangular openings. The gas run was not feasible, so we installed an electric heater fireplace and two electric heaters in place of an actual fireplace.
