Patio Cover and Outdoor Kitchen in Houston

This homeowner was updating their entire back yard. Along with a pool being added, they wanted a covered patio with space for an outdoor kitchen and an area for dining and relaxing by the pool.

This home had a very small covered area off the back of the home with just a paver patio. Because this home backs up to a branch of Buffalo Bayou, the family was finally ready to create their backyard retreat.

They were having a pool built and wanted to add an updated outdoor living space to go with it. 1400 SF of new concrete was poured to accomodate the new covered space and the pool decking. TCP had to resize some of the 2nd floor windows in order to build the new covered patio.

The new covered space is about 550SF and that includes the larger area off the end and the smaller covered space along the home. This space has plenty of room for a sitting area, dining area and the outdoor kitchen.

The outdoor kitchen has RCS brand appliances – a grill, fridge, and storage. There is plenty of counter space for prep work and for serving up a great meal. The granite is Colonial Gold from Daltile.
