The home had a large backyard with an existing pool and no shade. The homeowner wanted a freestanding structure that included a fire feature and an outdoor kitchen as well as space for dining and relaxing.
The new structure is almost 500SF. It has a vaulted ceiling and a gabled roof. The flooring is spaydecking that matches the existing finish around the pool.
The focal point is the wall at one end that has a gas burning fireplace. The side walls are actually the same material as the ceiling – stained cedar. The tile finish is Infinity Off White from The Tile Shop. There is a cedar mantle.

The kitchen area is 10 linear feet and includes a fridge, drawers and doors and an RCS grill. The counter is granite from DalTile. The fascia is Yorkshire gray ledge stone from Alamo Stone. The half columns were finished with the same. The column tops have a a coordinating leggara stone paver from Distinct Stone Solutions to finish off the stone. The upper columns are wrapped in hardie and painted to match the home.
This is a simple project that created a WOW factor backyard space.
