The homeowners of this project were, like most, looking for more covered space in their backyard while wanting to add a fire feature. First we removed an old pergola that was in place and removed an old flagstone patio. Then we added an additional 462 square feet of covered space that created an outdoor living room as well as an outdoor breakfast nook. The ceiling is finished in an American Nut Brown stain that compliments the Bishop Pierre stone that the homeowner selected. The stone was added to the posts, the knee wall seating that helps define the covered space as well as a see through fireplace. Lastly, we added a texture stamp and stained concrete to finish off the look. The new space creates a comfy place to watch the game on TV as well as a place to lounge with a laptop and a cup of coffee.
