Project of the Month May - Screened Porch in the Heights area of Houston

This home had a small deck off the back that had served its purpose and the homeowner was ready for a brand-new look. Adding on a fully enclosed screen porch would give them the additional space they desired. Matching the roof-line, TCP extended the back of the home by adding roughly 420SF. This space is now their favorite room of the home.

The new space has a vaulted ceiling with Real Soffit pre-stained tongue and groove in West Coast IPA. The center beam is stained slightly darker. The columns between the screens are painted smooth hardie plank in a color chosen by the homeowner to create the look she desired.
