The residence features a series of dramatic artworks and accents in a variety of materials and colour combinations that serve to elevate the restrained shell,” says Jatin Kapoor, founder and creative head of Mantra One.

Gold, beige and brown dominate the palette in the dining room. The dining table takes centre stage with its black glass top and distinctive legs made of trios of large brass-finish rings. Surrounding it are tan gilt-beaded leather chairs. A gold-and-glass chandelier hangs over the table, casting a swathe of golden light.
“Throughout the home, you’ll see a coalescence of light walls, metal and wood, glossy and matte, rich brass accents in soothing gold tones, stone-topped tables, uniquely tinted wood and luxurious leather furniture. The palettes are understated and neutral, with accents providing just the right colour pops,” Kapoor says.

The lounge, previously the home’s third bedroom, is cloaked in deep chocolate hues. A brown-lacquered, veneer-panelled wall backs the biscuit and grey sofas, which, along with an upholstered armchair, compose the seating area. A circular mirror-finish coffee table takes centre stage.
The wall opposite hosts the TV, its silken matte taupe finish making a fitting backdrop for a comfy ivory armchair by the windows.

The master bedroom showcases dramatic light fixtures, brass artefacts and tactile furnishings. A beige-panelled wall backs the brown-tufted headboard, while deep-toned wooden nightstands nod to the bench that frames the foot of the bed.

To the side of the bed, overlooked by abstract artworks, is an indigo-upholstered bench that provides welcome seating for reading and repose.
“Design elements such as the beautiful origami birds, the brass sculpture and a medley of wood, brass and stone bring the look together,” says Kapoor.

The second bedroom inverts the palette of the master, with brown-panelled walls highlighting a beige-tufted headboard. A light-toned armchair, flanked by a slender table, rests by the window.
The wall opposite features a patterned cream console table that doubles as a television unit.
