The removal of a poorly built addition and the replacement with a contemporary structure and remodel of the existing historic Victorian to create a strong juxtaposition between old and new. Brampton Ontario, a suburb of Toronto does not see projects like this and so it was a cultural shift for the community and municipality, built in a way that leaves the original home effectively unchanged out of respect for the past, with minor improvements for efficiency and comfort, and restorative measures to protect its future.
