The rear (think back) of this two storey Allenby home had two awkward additions which created layout challenges, and provided three bedrooms which all shared a single washroom. A minor adjustment has now fixed all of that (think Chiropractor). The finishes were outdated and the flow required work to maximize the space. A small main floor addition allowed for the expansion of the home across the rear of the building, which provided key space to create a formal master suite. Reconfiguration of space completely altered the feeling on the inside, while cladding changes on the additions, both new and existing tied the entire building together with some unity. In the basement, full underpinning, waterproofing and finishing created a new laundry room, new washroom and beam changes ensured an open recreation area for the family to stretch out and play together. Mechanical, electrical and plumbing updates ensure a safe, comfortable and efficient home, including on demand hot water, fully heated hydronic slab and floor warming of the bathrooms on the second level.
