A phased approach - Davisville Village
A full two-storey addition was designed, including a master suite. Project timing restrictions created the need for a phased approach, starting with the main floor and basement. Rough-ins for future services ensured phase 2 did not impact the beautiful work undertaken under the first phase and was able to be carried out with the owners continuing to reside in the home for the second phase of the renovation. Fenestration changes lead guests to the more contemporary aesthetic of the interior, with white and bright finishes for a more modern statement. The new addition provides space on the lower level for guests a place to stay when in town, while the main floor opens up a great room to combine with the kitchen and dining room for an expansive area where the family can congregate, or to entertain. Shifting the powder room to the front of the home and widening the existing stairs are minor Architectural adjustments that have a big impact on the functionality of the home. The second floor addition added a master suite, while minor adjustments to layout allowed for the creation of a second bathroom and a home office.
