Everybody's Doing it! - Allenby

The gut renovation of a 1920's Allenby home - performed at the same time as we undertook a similar project at the neighbouring home. Denied twice at the Committee of Adjustments in Toronto, this typical and modest addition and renovation project was approved at the OMB, proof of how Provincial courts can overturn a decision where it is not properly routed in planning law at the local Committee level.

Heavy and failing brick knee walls were removed, stucco was skim coated and the front door was replaced. New slab steps, lighting, painting, house numbers and mailbox complete the entry transformation

This powder room is situated in the former kitchen location, just off the new side mudroom entry. By pushing the addition out slightly to the side of the home, it allowed for the creation of this powder room and a main hall to the rear of the new addition.

This playroom is located in the fourth bedroom which was added in preparation for when the kids reach the age when they need their own rooms. Pushing the addition out to the side of the home allowed the creation of this room, as well as the hall into the rear where the new master suite resides.

Hockey Rink for the kids to play located within the addition at the lower level. A massive and deep window provides great natural light and egress. Roughed in to be a media/recreation room for when the kids are older ensures this room grows with the family.
