The teak finished kitchen, with our signature tile inlay work is definitely the heart of the home. We went to town on the expensive dado tiles. So to offset that cost, we decided on the modest but hardy 'Cotto Terracotta' Nitco Tiles for the floor with deep blue inserts to pull the whole look together. A pretty kitchen island provides additional work space and handy storage. For some of the woodwork we used a veneer finish; for the rest, we used hard wearing laminate from Royale Touche

The muted terracotta dado tiles in the open kitchen from @hemnilstudio was the starting point for the color scheme. A soft teal made a cool counterpoint to this warm base tone. This is echoed in the living room wall colour and the crockery unit that acts as a room divider.
