Ramaa and Ramanan's kitchen

Eclectic and colourful
Project Year: 2016
Project Cost: ₹10,00,001 - ₹20,00,000
Country: India
PIN Code: 560060
This kitchen was inspired by many Mexican/ Spanish style kitchens I have loved. Everything is close at hand, and there are an equal number of open and closed storage spaces. The client is a dancer with a lively personality, and she wanted her home to reflect that.
Ramaa and Ramanan's kitchen
The dining table repeats the colors of the wall tiles in a random pattern. And the under-frame of the table incorporates some valuable extra storage!
Ramaa and Ramanan's kitchen
The teak topped and tile inlay table has an under-frame that incorporates additional storage for extra glasses
Ramaa and Ramanan's kitchen
A wicker basket to store veggies that don't need refrigeration- onions, potatoes, garlic
Ramaa and Ramanan's kitchen
A vibrant pigeon-holed storage for knick-knacks provides exuberant contrast with an already colourful wall
Ramaa and Ramanan's kitchen
This kitchen was fun to do. Here is a large bright yellow larder with blue printed ceramic pulls. The client didn't want any closed storage, but I convinced her to add this one. Some parts of the kitchen will always be messy, and therefore need to be hidden behind closed doors!
