This particular couple chose these muted blue-grey tiles which were to be ideally used in a chessboard pattern for maximum effect. But they were a little afraid that it may look too dull and boring. So they said to us, 'we like these tiles, but do your magic with them please'. We were thrilled to try a different approach from our usual warm, lively colour schemes. It has now become my personal favourite. The tiles dictated the style of the cabinetry, the inlays, the antique rustic iron handles and the traditional baskets. And the gleaming, modern ceiling-hung chimney doesn't look out of place at all!
