A bachelor with an ambitious project, and plans to start a family, called on me to convert a rundown apartment building into his dream home. This stunning city dwelling is the result of my love for New York townhomes, with European influences and modern flair.

The McClure’s in Carlisle wanted to update and open up their kitchen and living space. A loadbearing wall was removed and a beam was added. Mrs. McClure assisted with the transitional design elements. She chose a contemporary style shaker door with stainless steel appliances including a stainless steel farm sink and freestanding hood vent. Rustic accents were added which included open shelving that matched the rustic beam and vinyl flooring. Peacock green granite and a gray subway tile backsplash was added to complete the space.

This Transitional Shaker style kitchen used soft grays on the upper cabinets & ceiling paint to coordinate with the Barn wood island finish. The natural Alder cabinets with a Chocolate Glaze help to increase the warmth. We used 3 different Caesarstone colors for countertops that also integrates the family table to seat up to 8 people. This modern beach house in Jacksonville Beach features a large, open entertainment area consisting of great room, kitchen, dining area and lanai. A unique second-story bridge over looks both foyer and great room. Polished concrete floors and horizontal aluminum stair railing bring a contemporary feel. The kitchen shines with European-style cabinetry and GE Profile appliances. The private upstairs master suite is situated away from other bedrooms and features a luxury master shower and floating double vanity. Two roomy secondary bedrooms share an additional bath. A hardwood shaker style kitchen. The built in cabinets and island are hand painted in Farrow and Ball, Pavilion Grey. The tall cabinetry is paired with a ladder for easy access to the taller cupboards. The large island has a Shaker 900 Perrin and Rowe sink and integrated storage. It has a breakfast bar at one end, with traditional wooden stools. Integrated larder unit includes a built in Miele microwave and mounted spice racks. It has Farrow and Ball painted frames with a natural wood interior finish.
