Find the right local pro for your project

This was a complete kitchen remodel. Everything- floor tiles, wall tiles, cabinetry - was removed and disposed of. We found these beautiful hexagon-patterned interlocking tiles for the floor and went with deceptively simple, undulating white subway tiles for the dado. The wicker baskets were made by my local cane guy, and customised for the space available. They are placed on pullout trays that run on channels

The connection to the surrounding ocean and dunes is evident in every room of this elegant beachfront home. By strategically pulling the home in from the corner, the architect not only creates an inviting entry court but also enables the three-story home to maintain a modest scale on the streetscape. Swooping eave lines create an elegant stepping down of forms while showcasing the beauty of the cedar roofing and siding materials.

The Deck House style has roots in the panelized construction of the Bauhaus and drew inspiration from the California architecture of Joseph Eichler. They were often referred to as “East Coast Eichlers.” The homes were popular at the Jersey coast in the 1960s. This home is a fresh take on that style. Clean exterior details, and cantilevers weave together the threads of modernism and historicism that inspired this unique design.
