A master bathroom with an ocean inspired, upscale hotel atmosphere. The soft blues, creams and dark woods give the impression of luxury and calm. Soft sheers on a rustic iron rod hang over woven grass shades and gently filter light into the bathroom. A dark wood cabinet with brushed nickel hardware is a high contrast against the white countertop and sinks. The light blue walls create a calming retreat.

This home was a complete gut, so it got a major face-lift in each room. In the powder and hall baths, we decided to try to make a huge impact in these smaller spaces, and so guests get a sense of "wow" when they need to wash up!
Powder Bath:
The freestanding sink basin is from Stone Forest, Harbor Basin with Carrara Marble and the console base is Palmer Industries Jamestown in satin brass with a glass shelf. The faucet is from Newport Brass and is their wall mount Jacobean in satin brass. With the small space, we installed the Toto Eco Supreme One-Piece round bowl, which was a huge floor space saver. Accessories are from the Newport Brass Aylesbury collection.
Hall Bath:
The vanity and floating shelves are from WW Woods Shiloh Cabinetry, Poplar wood with their Cadet stain which is a gorgeous blue-hued gray. Plumbing products - the faucet and shower fixtures - are from the Brizo Rook collection in chrome, with accessories to match. The commode is a Toto Drake II 2-piece. Toto was also used for the sink, which sits in a Caesarstone Pure White quartz countertop.

Location: Nantucket, MA, USA
This classic Nantucket home had not been renovated in several decades and was in serious need of an update. The vision for this summer home was to be a beautiful, light and peaceful family retreat with the ability to entertain guests and extended family. The focal point of the kitchen is the La Canche Chagny Range in Faience with custom hood to match. We love how the tile backsplash on the Prep Sink wall pulls it all together and picks up on the spectacular colors in the White Princess Quartzite countertops. In a nod to traditional Nantucket Craftsmanship, we used Shiplap Panelling on many of the walls including in the Kitchen and Powder Room. We hope you enjoy the quiet and tranquil mood of these images as much as we loved creating this space. Keep your eye out for additional images as we finish up Phase II of this amazing project!

Upscale Construction
Excellent owner/contractor collaboration helped this Cole Valley project flourish. Structural issues were uncovered early in the construction process requiring immediate attention to ensure the building's safety. The owner's primary goal was to redesign the space to create a more logical flow between each of the rooms. Clean, contemporary lines were achieved through the use of creative gypsum detailing and casing.

The mirror splashbacks were fitted on all 3 sides of the chimney space to add light, depth and interest.

This master bath was designed with the feel of a misty, overcast day on a natural Maine beach. The porcelain tile looks like gray limestone, the textured laminate on the vanity looks like aged driftwood, and the wall color looks like an overcast sky.

A collection of framed botanicals, by Johann Wilhelm Weinman from Phytanthoza Icongraphia
The first botanical work to use colour printed mezzotint successfully. This process was so expensive and labour intensive, the process was not repeated for several decades. One of the finest examples of printed botanical works available.
