This bespoke professional cook's kitchen features a custom copper and stainless steel La Cornue range cooker and extraction canopy, built to match the client's copper pans. Italian Black Basalt stone shelving lines the walls resting on Acero stone brackets, a detail repeated on bench seats in front of the windows between glazed crockery cabinets. The table was made in solid English oak with turned legs. The project’s special details include inset LED strip lighting rebated into the underside of the stone shelves, wired invisibly through the stone brackets. Manufactured by Presotto, Italy. Mixing the element of fire into this tv unit makes composition #276 stand out from others. An electric fireplace that is recessed into the unit has an ultrasound technology that gives finely nebulised water. The water is then illuminated to create a "flame and smoke" outcome. The base units and one wall mounted cabinet is shown in matt beige seta lacquer. An opening for electronics in the base unit is made to match wall mounted cabinets in matt verde ossido lacquer.

Photo 2 of 3: The kitchen in this home was another fun project. Our interior designer came up with the idea for an island with a raised serving bar in the center. Our customer selected "Blue Louise" for the raised section and white "Antartide" for the balance of the counter tops.The counter top is under-lit with LED strip lighting. The vent hood cabinet features the same "circle and X" that appear in the front door and in the courtyard railing. The floor is hand-scraped oak hardwood. The cabinets that flank the kitchen sink have clear backs and fronts allowing the homeowner to view the motor court from the kitchen. The main bathroom was recreated in an authentic Californian bungalow style featuring tessellated tiles, subway tiles in a brick pattern with capping tiles, Shaker-style framed mirrored cabinet, pedestal vanity, older-style toilet with timber toilet seat and older-style accessories. The original stained glass window was maintained. The only modern variation was the streamlined glass shower wall.
