This space is perfect for entertaining! When the owners originally moved in, this deck was not here. There were several steps down from the kitchen door, and the stone slabs were a toe-stubbing minefield.
We added the deck and designed it perfectly for entertaining. Since we had several large pine trees removed from the property, we increased sun exposure creating a need for more shade. We had this awning custom made by PJ Canvas in Santa Rosa, CA. The awning tucks neatly under the roof of the house during the rainy months.

The newly refurbished family room has a more relaxed comfortable feeling. This was achieved by carefully selecting each of the furniture pieces and sunbrella fabrics that are family friendly. Notice the oversized, distressed blue media console and the wicker wall to wall modular sectional that creates an inviting atmosphere. A large aluminum garden coffee table provides an indestructible surface for family entertainment. The two custom ottomans allows for extra seating.

Our approach was to remove some of the stuffiness of the previous floor plan and create a space that flowed easily from both ends of the house. Today our clients enjoy a sleek kitchen and dining space that oozes cool.

Having been neglected for nearly 50 years, this home was rescued by new owners who sought to restore the home to its original grandeur. Prominently located on the rocky shoreline, its presence welcomes all who enter into Marblehead from the Boston area. The exterior respects tradition; the interior combines tradition with a sparse respect for proportion, scale and unadorned beauty of space and light.
