I think a comfortable distance between the island and the counter is around 42". It seems that you have only 30" between your cook top and the counter. I might be a little too tight. The wall between the entrance and the kitchen could be 4' long instead of 6', you would then be able to move the island a foot which would give you more room between the cook top and the island. Could you switch the location of the toilet and vanity in your dad's bathroom so your enter facing a vanity instead of a toilet which is a lot nicer.

is bedroom 2 the one to the right of the dining room? the bathroom there is showing a basin in it. yes? so you want to know, aside from the basin/sink in that bathroom would you also like one in the living room dining room itself. i don't see a need for another one, if the kitchen is right there, and the bathroom is right there... having an additional sink in the dining room isnt something i understand a need for.

Hello Neetu, Trying to explain the suggestions earlier made with an image. See if the following space makes the space more usable and open. Please see the numbers marked on the attached image. 1- Open up Dressing Area. No need of closing it. 2& 3 Pull out the Porch and increase the room size. 4- Change the direction of toilet, increase the size and include handwash within it. 5 Open Living area will comfortably seat 6-8 people. 6,7 - If your designer agrees this will allow you to increase the room sizes. by 20 odd ft. 8- Close the kitchen door .
