I think a comfortable distance between the island and the counter is around 42". It seems that you have only 30" between your cook top and the counter. I might be a little too tight. The wall between the entrance and the kitchen could be 4' long instead of 6', you would then be able to move the island a foot which would give you more room between the cook top and the island. Could you switch the location of the toilet and vanity in your dad's bathroom so your enter facing a vanity instead of a toilet which is a lot nicer.

Hi Maam/Sir, I would recommend you to share a better perspective pic of your room where the ceiling is also visible because if a room does not have enough of natural lighting then some artificial effect like a false ceiling treatment would really give a great boost to the look and feel of your space. I would also suggest you to follow a concept like i can see there are a lot of varied colorscheme happening in your room so changing a curtain will not be much help. You should find the right patterns maybe like adding some pastels or i can see that some red or maroon color is involved in your room so try to match the lighter version of these elements. Hello Kayzad Shroff & Maria Leon! I'm designing my bedroom all by myself and now I want it to seem like I'm living among a rainforest. So I went for wooden times, veneer laminate wardrobes. The bed will be a platform bed so it'll be low to the ground. I'm now stuck with the ceiling and the wall opposite to the headboard. I thought of wall murals, but that particular wall has windows on the right side, so can't get the wall murals/wallpapers to give that Forest feel. So could you help with your suggestions?

Dear Mr. Maverick, Hope you are doing great. Seeing at your post its very clear that you are a passionate person and taking your designing process seriously. Also you are accepting that you are not a designer yourself which is a good gesture against those clients who think themselves superior when it comes to design choices but knows nothing in real. I agree with above replies to share some information about your house starting with the floor plans as without these no one would be able to help you in any way. Also you need to understand that designing is a subjective and time consuming process and doesn't happen in an instant. If its just about getting ideas then you can find millions on google search. But being on Houzz platform is a great thing as its full of many talented professionals contributing to the solutions best way possible.
