Recently moved into a new apartment. Living area is big but the. Baseboard heater is awkwardly on the wall and is blocking the TV unit. How to elevate the height of the tv unit so that the heater stays unblocked!
We tried changing the legs of the unit unfortunately the screws won’t fit ! So we did this temporarily. But would need a permanent solution to fix this.
It’s a rented apartment. We just want to avoid any sort of drilling in the walls. So this was the best we could think. Moreover, I wanted to fix the metals legs directly to the tv unit but they won’t fit so had to fix them temporarily.
That’s where it is and that’s exactly where the baseboard is! Right in front of the baseboard The baseboard is awkwardly placed in the room. Since it’s a rented apartment we don’t want too much damage to the walls with drilling.
The wall adjacent to the kitchen is the best bet. There will some traffic in front of it, but minimal. The busiest time in the kitchen is the first half of the day. Unlikely that there will much TV watching during that time
I still think you could opt for wall mounting the TV. It is a very simple matter to remove the screws, fill the holes with putty and repaint. In any case, all landlords ask for an additional month's rent as compensation towards repainting the space. So I think you can safely go ahead and mount the TV on the wall
No worries! Grab some furniture risers or DIY with sturdy blocks to lift the TV unit. Just make sure it's stable. You can also consider a wall-mounted TV stand or shelf above the heater. Problem solved, and movie nights back on track!
