The bathroom in this Pratt Island waterfront home features a wet room with large master shower and soaking tub with a floating mirror installed on a glass wall to maximize light and views.

This Atlanta area guest bedroom features modern chinoiserie wallpaper (Shantung by F. Schumacher) and a coral geometric print (F. Schumacher) perk up this small guest bedroom. Grosgrain ribbon was put up to simulate crown molding. The bold contrast of the mirror, graphic wallpaper and striped pillows are what really bring this small room together. Asian influences and a sophisticated color palate transform this modestly sized contemporary bathroom. An ebony stained Cherry vanity emulate the look of an antique Japanese black lacquer chest. The faux wood grain of the floor tile and linear glass tile in natural tones allude to grass mat floors and woven bamboo. Even the frame pattern in the shower suggests the design of a traditional Japanese shoji screen. Subtle details continue the them- brushed nickel faucets and the vessel sink are reminiscent of an old fashioned hand pump and wash basin.

Caco Photography - Carole Margand Although south facing en-suite bathrooms in Australia are notoriously dark, the finishes utilizes in this en-suite bathroom belies nature and creates a light filled yet warm environment. The effect was created by utilizing highly polished porcelain tiles in an elegant warm mocha grey tone on the floor and three walls. The fourth wall is tiled in white, capturing the available light from the small window and magnifying it through a full height mirror on the opposing wall. The light bounces from corner to corner creating an illusion of warmth, luxury and space.
