This formal residence is located in Highland Park, Texas features intensely manicured gardens, a cobblestone driveway, private motor court and a grand entry gate.

I was given the honor of having participated in the Kips Bay Show house in New York. I chose the "his" bathroom. In doing so I designed this cabinetry using Macassar ebony and designed the floors in a stein graphic using lack and white granite.

Glass tiles and glass sinks share the reflective quality of water and feel perfectly suited to this home. Floating cabinet helps expand the feeling of space, as does the glass shower.

The bamboo shelf is ideal for locating candles and vases to make the bathroom a warmer, more serene place to relax and bathe. This jewel box bath features gloriously variegated stone. Such stone can be very challenging to work with - this designer spent more than two full days specifying where each and every piece would go to create the flowing naturalistic patterns you see here.
