This 800 SF structure completes the first phase of a future new residence in Oregon wine country. An upper level sleeping loft sits above the small kitchen and bathroom. Because the owners travel for work we provided sliding security doors at the two large openings. An adjustable awning provides shaded deck during hot afternoons. Exterior materials include ipe decking and sliding doors, stucco and metal siding. Interior materials include douglas fir flooring and cabinets, ceramic tile and stainless steel.

This suburban Toronto family had a small backyard which they outfitted for recreation and entertaining. The focal point is a symmetrical cloverleaf plunge pool which has a uniform depth of six feet. There are entry steps with underwater benches on each side with a spillover spa at one end and a Badu swimjet at the other. (16 x 16 custom rectangular)

This new house is reminiscent of the farm type houses in the Napa Valley. Although the new house is a more sophisticated design, it still remains simple in plan and overall shape. At the front entrance an entry vestibule opens onto the Great Room with kitchen, dining and living areas. A media room, guest room and small bath are also on the ground floor. Pocketed lift and slide doors and windows provide large openings leading out to a trellis covered rear deck and steps down to a lawn and pool with views of the vineyards beyond. The traditional fountain and surroundings are embellished with a variety of drought tolerant grasses, flowering plants and succulents. The removal of the dense and overgrown shrubs provides more outdoor living space for dining and entertaining for the homeowners' enjoyment. And now with site-appropriate plants and no lawn there is less maintenance and a lower water bill. Full color Blue stone and small mexican pebbles replace the lawn and pathways resulting in an updated and contemporary transformation. A variety of low-water plants including succulents offer year-round appeal and interest throughout the seasons to include Sedum rupestre 'Angelina', with chartreuse foliage, other varieties of sedum along with Echeveria succulents, Echinacea and grases. In this project we aimed to create a stylish garden which was both family friendly and low maintenance. Eco decking was used to create a large contemporary decking area. This composite product is slip resistant and is created using 95% recycled materials so is very eco friendly . This product is extremely low maintenance and long lasting. Rendered flower beds were built and complement the sleek and simple lines of the garden. A simplistic planting scheme has been utilised to add colour. A high quality artificial lawn was laid. This product is a great alternative for those looking for a lawn which will look lush all year round and will with stand children and animals playing on it. The slatted fence runs around the perimeter and adds warmth and texture to the space. Overall this garden is simple yet very slick.

Screens an outdoor shower and creates a tropical paradise. The conservation Commission would not allow the client to have a physical structure to enclose the shower so we screened with shrubs, perennials,a and a few annuals.
