Designed by Christopher Rose Architects The foyer presents a dramatic entry to the house. It provides: twin circular staircases to the main living level as well as passage into the first floor guest quarters. The entrance door is fine mahogany with leaded glass; there will also be sidelights of leaded glass, with some stained glass jewels. The stair has top quality hardwood flooring old growth pine or cherry in random widths. The foyer walls have paneled wainscoting; the staircases will circle within walls that rise to the second floor; the staircases opens underneath and will be paneled on the underside; the same panel design carries up the stairs as a wainscot. will be poplar or better is painted. The foyer provides a transition to the first floor great room, through a wide elliptical archway The foyer also provides access to one or more of the four guest suites on this floor.

This customer wanted to have more space in his yard area and the old concrete steps took up space and blocked the light. The new steel steps now fully conform to building regulations and also give the property a visual boost.

This unique contemporary understairs bespoke storage cabinet was designed and built by Claude Clémaron for a property in Belgravia, London. Our bespoke joinery and cabinetmaking skills really came to the fore in this special commission. The brief was to construct a cabinet that would support the metal fabricated staircase. Timber works beautifully with contrasting staircase materials such as glass, metal, or stone. The wooden storage unit also needed to form the lower end of the staircase by incorporating three winding treads, allowing the stairs to turn ninety degrees. Oak storage cabinet and stairs Handcrafted in solid light oak this high end feature storage unit is incredibly strong and built to last. We have given it a flawless clear satin, natural oiled finish to protect and enhance the wood’s beautiful grain. Oak is a luxury hardwood which suits both modern and traditional furniture and here it brings warmth and texture to the large entrance hall. Large sleek oak drawers The distinctive sleek drawer fronts, spray lacquered in medium grey, are mounted forward of the main cabinet and feature a chamfered finger pull detail at the top. The drawers are mounted on heavy duty load bearing full extension runners. Visually there appears to six slim same-sized drawers, however some are full-depth drawers to store larger items. The drawer interiors are lined in matching oak.
