I designed a sophisticated, soothing room for a little girl. The goal was to make it whimsical enough but not so cute she could not grow into it. Notice the use of plants, animals and landscapes as a tool to create a peaceful environment. Large oil paintings evoke dreamy landscapes, the acanthus plant stripe of the grass cloth wallpaper makes one feel surrounded and safe. Birds, elephants and butterflies are part of the magical decor. Lots of texture and patterns create interest. Finally, old is blended with new (antique bird illustrations, old pine chest, modern crib, etc) to create an eclectic and inviting interior. A chair rail with a delicate vine of pea tendrils, lady bugs and butterflies cap a gingham wallpaper. One corner of the room features a swing extending from a branch attached to the wall - making a shelf. Beautiful imagery to spark imagination.

With a dark green sage tone and accentuated with white magnolia blossoms and butterflies, this wallpaper embodies elegance and timeless beauty. Paired with sumptuous fabrics for the soft furnishings, adding comfort and cosiness. This bedroom made one little girl very happy! An adorable space to begin with, featuring a partial vaulted ceiling over the window, this room is positively dreamy with it’s all-white furniture and cabinetry, and soft pink and purple accent colours. The custom-built window seat provides additional storage space for bedding, toys, or seasonal clothes, while offering a comfy place for reading, playing, or even afternoon naps! The cabinets are balanced and spacious with exposed shelving for decorative or frequently accessed items, as well as closed-in shelving, to avoid clutter.
