Pros of going with Sink and Hob on same side: 1- Perceived convenience of the user 2- Hiding the Chimney duct will be easier on the end to end wall Unit 3- Provides a view of the living area to the chef Pros of going with Sink and Hob on opposite sides: 1- Electric points and Gas provisions for Hob and Chimney are already provided for, may not require any changes 2- Separate Wet and Dry zones in Kitchen 3- Guests gets a view of the cooking gas Some of them are listed above, please take a call accordingly. Many thanks for your valuable comments. 1. My intention of raised cabinets was to clean it daily, as cabinets that touch floor accumulate lot of dust and food particles below. If we rule out steel legs, any inputs on raised floor only of cabinet area and then cabinets?(Just like plinth in modular cabinets- but this will be permanent and of tiles) I have not seen such structure anywhere, so curious if it will work. Otherwise I will go with traditional ones. 2. Moving pooja out of kitchen is very difficult as other rooms are just enough for their function. Currently a small Mandir is attached on wall where Fridge is shown in layout. I thought the new area could be little extra for all pooja related things. Will like to know the reason of your recommendation, is it odd in whole design, or not suitable in area .. or anything else? How about moving it to corner of dining area?

Hi Sanket, The sizes of a standalone fridge versus a built in differ quite a bit. Your tall units and the microwave, oven segment have their own set sizes. you can add a door to the fridge but it will just out like a sore thumb. It would be advisable to keep the fridge as a separate unit. Best Miloni
