I have a parallel kitchen in my new house. where should the hob go in the parallel kitchen??? I feel it should be on the same side as sink but my designer is suggesting to have it on the other side. i feel it would be messy and not very practical and efficient while cooking as washing veggies and then using them I will have to keep running between these 2 counters. please advise me and tell me the pros and cons in terms of practicality. TIA

PS , it makes sense to share your floor plan for getting an informed answer.

    PS,

Is this a Prestige builder property?

Pros of going with Sink and Hob on same side:

1- Perceived convenience of the user

2- Hiding the Chimney duct will be easier on the end to end wall Unit

3- Provides a view of the living area to the chef

Pros of going with Sink and Hob on opposite sides:

1- Electric points and Gas provisions for Hob and Chimney are already provided for, may not require any changes

2- Separate Wet and Dry zones in Kitchen

3- Guests gets a view of the cooking gas

Some of them are listed above, please take a call accordingly. Hope this helps
