Bedroom Design Dilemma

Which type of material and color to use in this sliding wardrobe

Its a three door sliding wardrobe with a walnut finish mica pasted inside of it.
Please help me with the following questions
- Which material should be used for the outside of the wardrobe.
- Which colour color would go best considering its a small room 11 x 8 x 10

I went for a matte leather finish mica instead with a lighter tone of grey which coincides with your suggestion 🥳

It will be my opinion don't put curtains for small doors usually windows only we can use curtains for balcony also if more than 5 feet you can try inbetween colum and in center you can try like this type of sliding doors

Dear Vinod, That's what happens when you give a project to a carpenter cause they view it as the single element and can't imagine where and how it is going on with the space around. "They literally don't care" except the money they save in that project. As the wardrobe is glossy and dark gray you have to make-over everything in that room to makle it look better. So better go for removing it which is more economical, and if your wardrobe is done with solid wood or timber just go for wood finish paints (veener/varnish/some other) or else go for duco paint or any other that can be applied on it. But BETTER consult a Designer or an Architect to those kind of works not carpenter or some vender. And lastly remove that funky looking overhead outcrop. Have a nice day

Hi Rohit. Two materials need to be considered for wardrobes - 1. Carcass and 2. Finish. Wardrobes do well with Plywood. Shutters are best done in HDF or high quality MDF as they take finishes much better. Depending on the colours, style and concept for the room room aesthetic, you could potentially choose from a plethora of finishing materials out there. If you prefer a wood look and have the budget for it, Veneers in all kinds of designs are available. If you are looking for something extremely durable which is also cost effective then laminates (HPL) are your friends. Back painted glass looks gorgeous on a sliding wardrobe but it is the most expensive of all commonly available options. Some unsolicited advise - Avoid lofts above sliding wardrobes. Hope this helps!

That explains his opinion. Your description until now was for outlay doors. Slideline 16 is capable for 50-60 kg and 18-24 mm doors only. As I said earlier, not a big fan of bottom running sliding systems. Hope it works fine for you. Steel decorative strip is possible . But avoid deep cuts on the door that would increase the chances of bend/warp.

Hi Rahul, material is subject to your budget.. if permits you can go for acrylic for high gloss and superior finish.. you can choose to go for melamine polish also. All up to you. Your second question- what will be the final color of the room? Based on that you need to set color of your wardrobe. My suggestion is to use lighter color.

Regarding the sliding shutters' width, I find them awkward size, you might want to consider adjusting the sizes based on internal cabinets.
