Mustafa, my apologies for the delayed response! I've been thinking about your dilemma and this is what I've come up with. I'd make the most of the vertical space in the room so that you allow yourself maximum square footage for counter work space. If you're able to, I would suggest putting the refrigerator on the opposite wall (where the tall storage unit is in the sketch). Something similar to this:

Hello Rachna, We have gone through your posts. Please clarify the room size is it 12x8 or 16x9.3 . Let's start from bottom line, what is the budget that you can spare now for the makeover. A lot of remodelling would depend upon the budget .BTW, I really appreciate your honesty about the affordability ! Coming back to the topic, I believe your TV unit is placed in a good position but other units will require movement. Please do confirm the size. Basically what i can understand now is priority is given only for vastu and other aspects of the design has been forgotten. My opinion would be redesigning the spaces along with vastu integration . A single idea of modification would not be feasible here. Please consider setbacks and other utility areas needed outside the residence as well ,for services integration. Thanks

Thank you for the suggestion, that's the first time I've heard of magnetic track systems! They definitely seem like they'd add a modern feel but I'm not in love with having a track visible on the ceiling as it feels like that might draw the eye more so than a few recess lights. It seems like even if you use the track lighting you still need to position the magnetic light system to highlight certain locations of the kitchen, same as recess you just have a bit more flexibility with changing the placement. If you were to use track or recess lights in our kitchen, which features would you choose to place lights near?
