Comments (42)Since the lot you describe is smaller than my open living area, I would suggest looking at some of the "shotgun" house plans around New Orleans,LA. I think you can build up and back and get an interesting home with a loft for space. It can be done, A porch with an entry to a narrow hall at the back might work best for you. Will you plan a courtyard (closed)? or what? What part of the country are you in? What are your local codes?...See Moreplease help...hello i have one sofa set and 2 single bed one tv in liv
Comments (76)HI RinaI do agree I love jewelbox rooms, but I consider them more cosy ... and with a grey marble floor it goes all Versace Italianate! I am trying to balance the colours by bringing in a pattern on the covers rather than plain. I feel this will bring colour without overpowering the room. In the pictures I showed above, the rooms are basically neutral but the colour is brought in via pattern - I think this might be the way to go...Ideally a green or blue on a subdued grey would be the best, but I dont know what the market is like for Sumit...Cushions can do a lot to tie in the other white/grey elements.Shelley - navy is a good suggestion, but as Sumits area is quite tall and thin, trying to keep the general area light Any more suggestions most welcome. These are just ideas after all and Sumit will choose what works for the room in the end ;-)...See MoreFlat layout is required
Comments (27)Dear Amit, Thanks for working on the same and pointing out the things some of which I have not thought of.I am attaching the main design which was given to me by the builder.I She have worked in the main plan and made some changes as below: -She have clubbed common Bath as per the original plan with the MB to make it bigger, but no option was seen to extend the attach Bath. -I was thinking of keeping fridge at the kitchen and W.M inside the common Bath. -She have suggested sliding door in MB which I can change it. -I haven't thought regarding the position of the TV .You are correct that it will be too far. Can you please suggest how can I utilise the spaces in a better way. -The work which have been done is as below: 1)We have broken the common Bath wall and clubbed it with MB. 2)One wall of the kitchen have been broken to make it a open kitchen. 3)She have changed the location of the main entrance from 4th part of the south ,as I didn't have any option to change the location of the main entrance to other direction .As per her 4th part on the south from right is ok for entrance. 4)Right now the entrance is as per the builder design .We haven't changed it till now....See MoreHouse design for east facing 29.6 * 52 plot
Comments (21)Hi Sagar, The person who has designed this house has only considered Vastu in mind, but when you are designing a space it should be functional enough. You should be convenient in using that space in long run. As mentioned above, kitchen and dining should be adjacent to each other for conveniency. There is no common toilet on the ground floor for guest uses. Puja room should be somewhere in the interior of the house, it should not be at the entry. You can go for a Puja room on the first floor as well, since it's for family uses. This plan needs a lot of changes, better go for a professional help. Regards Prity...See More- 2 years ago
