You're dreaming. Lovely to look at but....where do the toothbrush and toothpaste and hand soap and brush and comb go? In that drawer you need to stoop to reach? Or do you carry them in from somewhere else each morning? To make this a working bathroom you need cabinets to hide things or shelves to put things on.This sleek vanity invites unsightly clutter to mess it up in real time. And that faucet is not one i'd recommend: i have one so i know. A drippy hand reaches to shut off the water and all those drops from your hand land on the shiney chrome spigot and gets it water-spotted with every use. Extremely unsightly and annoying.Also ours started leaking from the gap between the control and the upward tube leaving streaks of calcium deposits along its entire length. You'll be working MORE to keep this bathroom looking clean and tidy cuz there's not sufficient nor practical storage to hide stuff...But I agree...it's beautiful.

Hi, softyjane. You have a very pretty sheet set, and seem to like pink, so let's begin with a fresh coat of pink on all four walls. If someone can build you a little shelf to sit in the window, you could paint a basket, too, and put all your small items in it. Your food tray would make a nice picture background in the window. Then, some hooks on the right wall to hang your bags from will make things a bit roomier. White trim at the window will make it seem bigger, as well. If someone can do carpentry work for you, then you can create even more space by raising your bed high and making a loft bed with it. then you will have room below to put whatever you like - a chair, a desk, shelves - and place a curtain or bead strands in front for privacy. I agree that there is too much going on, however some of the suggestions are costly and in my opinion don't completely take care of the problems. I like the design approach it is fresh and updated. I agree that the chimney cap is out of proportion and just needs a simple band at the top. In order to make the exterior remain timeless over the years, Now Sit Down for a minute, I would make all of the exterior the white color. I know you love red however this will tie the different components of the architecture together more than any thing else. You can still have high gloss red doors and red tile pavers on the ground. It would also be very classy the use white tile in place of the brick look. You could even mix gloss white tiles with matt finish tiles to give an interesting sparkle when you ride by. I like the wrought iron upper railing, but the vertical blocking on the right side looks too heavy. So I would continue the same railing around the corner and back toward the house until it connects to the other balcony railing. This also ties the house together. It would look much more classic to not have a grid in the tall window and instead have a solid piece of glass down to the transom and then from there down be solid glass as well. Glass block in the courtyard column sections with back lights would look unbelievable. I would arch the closed in section on the second level as it would show up more there than the window being arched does, so save the money and don't arch that window. I would either hang a long contemporary light on the right elevation to dress it up or insert a long strip of glass block lighted from the interior to achieve the same effect.
