My bedroom is very small and it had gate in the middle....so it's become very difficult to interior it.....can u tell me the layout where to keep bed so that it look more spacious
Do you have a picture of the room? According to feng shui, the bed should be in a power position, that is facing toward the door. From a design standpoint, this also ensures that the bed is the first thing you see when you enter the room, and will probably be the nicest thing to look at.
From what I can see now you might want a nice vanity or a wall cabinet for storage. Removing small things from the view and floor (!) will help your room feel spacious even more.
Can you tell me the dimensions of the room? It looks quite small. And when you say it has a gate in the middle, do you mean it has a door on the middle of one wall? Are you changing everything in the room, or do you just want to know where to put the bed?
Actually contruction is going on so there is storage problem....yaa I mean door in the middle of the wall...I want to chg d whole room....and dimension is 11*11
Hi, softyjane. You have a very pretty sheet set, and seem to like pink, so let's begin with a fresh coat of pink on all four walls. If someone can build you a little shelf to sit in the window, you could paint a basket, too, and put all your small items in it. Your food tray would make a nice picture background in the window. Then, some hooks on the right wall to hang your bags from will make things a bit roomier. White trim at the window will make it seem bigger, as well. If someone can do carpentry work for you, then you can create even more space by raising your bed high and making a loft bed with it. then you will have room below to put whatever you like - a chair, a desk, shelves - and place a curtain or bead strands in front for privacy. This is just to give some inspiration - yours will look special to your likes: http://i.ytimg.com/vi/5lDtTj0CQlo/0.jpg Hope that helps, and that you get the bedroom of your dreams!
I f you have storage problem then you should put some items in self storage unit Or if you have extra storage room then you can also put your things there also.
For furniture arrangement, your best bet would be to centre your bed on the wall facing the door. This should leave you 3' on each side of the bed, so you could fit a 30" wide low dresser on each side of the bed. The Ikea Malm dresser comes to mind. Will give you some storage for clothes and is bigger than a standard night table, so you can place trays and things on top to hold accessories. For even more room on the dresser surface, you could use bedside lamps that mount on the wall. On the wall that has the door, there should be room for a tall wardrobe (again, I'm thinking Ikea) on each side of the door for hanging clothes, etc. your window will look better if you hang tall curtain panels on each side of it. Are you changing your duvet cover and other bed linens? Are you wanting to change your wall color? If so, can you give us some idea of your style and taste in home decor?
Ah,well, to your question of moving the bed for more spaciousness, unfortunately 'up' is the only direction that would help! Look instead to raising floor items to the walls with hooks and shelves, and putting things under the bed/ in a closet to create as much floor area as you can. Then, by adding a big pillow or two, and a small area rug, your room will feel special and inviting. Best of luck!
First pic is Ikea Pax closets on each side of a bedroom door, so this is a good representation of how your room would look. Second pic is more Pax storage. Third pic is an Ikea Malm dresser which has been painted and new handles put on the drawers. It's amazing what you can do to spruce up those Malm dressers!
