Comments (1)A whimsical piece, but you do have a dilemma! Try uploading some of your work to your Ideabook, so that Houzzers can look at it more easily. You can add as many examples of your work as you may have available. Also, with so much detailing, the ability to enlarge your photos will help people see better ( contact support for details on how to make that happen). Comments (5)coming to the dining area..yes id say you remove the seating entirely and concentrate on a foyer area since you already have space for a drawing room on the floor.. id suggest erecting a glass and marble wall in line with the wall that runs between the pooja room and the bedroom..say a bit of marble-glass-marble-glass-marble.in this case you have a small foyer area demarcated by this wall feature.you can deck it up by placing a nice console table in front of the central marble wall with a nice mirror to reflect the space and make it look larger or a sculpture with beautiful bracket lights on either side to accentuate the same.and on the backside of this wall you could have a crockery unit with a huge painting or a cluster of family snaps above it. if you could brief me a little on the look you're adapting for your house i could suggest some more treatments for the walls.if you want to avoid using too much marble you could also opt for a marble wood and glass look where you could take out some concealed storage for shoes etc. regarding the drawing room - what about a huge 4 seater in the center instead of 2 - two seaters with a table in the middle as in the plan..if you remove the central coffee table maybe you could replace the single seater with a chaise for 2 and also replace the 2 center tables with a nice long table in the center with an area rug running below it..if you could help me with the room dimensions maybe we could add 2 pouffes in front of the 4 seater so it creates more seating and doesnt obstruct the view if you plan to put a TV on the wall. what look do you have in mind for your terrace garden ? something zen or a little rustic toeing on the lines of the contemporary ? sorry for the late reply as i was travelling.. hope this helps! :)...See Moreneed your advice
Comments (10)Hi Piyush, Namashkar, The plan seems to be perfect , also there are various factors which can be dealt while planning the interior like 1) how if the parking area is isolated from living room so some green space like vegetation or garden which may dividel the two and also a beautiful verandah with shrubs around . you have plenty of space so it is very much possible to play with the spaces also allowing a courtyard if possible, people do it. it's so pleasing and overwhelming. i know it takes some maintenance but some work apart from your roj ki bhag dod se acha, give some time on nature. if need be water can also be part of you space. 2) the surroundings will be very important as to how much are the openings and what type and where do they open. doesn't all this matter? what do you see and what not. 3)if there is no roof then how much hot it will be inside, are you looking to go for a.c. but there are many alternative technologies which you can go for to really make the interior more humane and comfortable. 4) are you looking for vaastu considerations. that is also a factor to be considered. 5) our kitchen seems to be a little smaller. i dont know how are your family looking to use the space and need storage and things. there are certainly lot of factors which will be needed to considered while designing. pls let me know if you want all this to integrate and have a peaceful and far from hustle bustle of the city home. thanks and regards Riddhish...See MoreDecking or Tiles in terrace garden?
Comments (5)Yes, as Cornerstone says, please don't redo the water-proofing if it has already been done once. Tiles are a far better option than decking with composed fibre-wood. No matter how hardy the latter material is, it is going to be a muddy and wet area, so please go with a good anti skid ceramic tile. Check on the final use with the manufacturer- that it is going to be laid on the terrace and exposed to sun. Use at least 3 mm spacers to allow for some expansion over a period of time. Also leaves enough space to insert waterproofing epoxy and secure the tiles...See Morechiara_vv
