Need help with bedroom drapes
Comments (7)I thought of two options for the headboard one is keeping the way it is now i.e gold color or change it to dark brown velvet, because my bed is wooden (dark brown), so I thought the headboard will just look like a part of the bed, and I could do the drapes of sea green color. The sofa chair next to my bed is not there anymore, so on this wall its only the bed and the window. Bedding I have to change, but thats not an issue as of now. My main concern is the drapes and the headboard which have to go with the wallpaper well....See MoreI need help to remodel the flat
Comments (10)Hi Ruchika, I you are only considering to buy thins flat, I would suggest don't. Here are the reasons why - 1] The entry foyer leads you to a very large unnecessary dining space while on the contrary the family and living areas are too cramped. 2] Entry to two bedrooms through the kitchen is a bad idea. 3] A lot of space has been eaten up by the utility making the maid's room way too small and without any kind of storage. The utility also has very poor ventilation in terms of a small window and the maid's room has one looking into the duct. 4] Way too many service ducts. They could have been minimized by conscious design decisions. Mirroring and pairing bathrooms to share a duct is one way to do it. 5] Creating another bedroom would only mean compromising either on the family room and you will be left with a small living area. 6] Although the plan shows a carpet area of around 1900 sq.ft., the effective usable area is way less thanks to so many small corridors and passages. 7] Bedroom 1 has no wardrobe space at all whereas there is a huge storage in the foyer. The wardrobe space in bedroom 2 cannot be used if a TV unit is provided there. 8] Incorporating civil changes would only increase your expense and not achieve much. It is better you look for a different design altogether. Regards, RnD Atelier Nagpur...See MoreNeed Design Ideas - Crowd Designing, anyone????
Comments (13)Dear Mr. Maverick, Hope you are doing great. Seeing at your post its very clear that you are a passionate person and taking your designing process seriously. Also you are accepting that you are not a designer yourself which is a good gesture against those clients who think themselves superior when it comes to design choices but knows nothing in real. I agree with above replies to share some information about your house starting with the floor plans as without these no one would be able to help you in any way. Also you need to understand that designing is a subjective and time consuming process and doesn't happen in an instant. If its just about getting ideas then you can find millions on google search. But being on Houzz platform is a great thing as its full of many talented professionals contributing to the solutions best way possible. I hereby offer my services and request you to go thru my profile and works and see if it interests you. I can show more interesting works if you insist. Let me know for further more as i am offering my services remotely as well including couple projects in Ireland. Best Regards, - Ar. Comments (8)Ankita, You can takan informed call between one time change vs long term issues. In the current placement (in all likelihood) because of the wind circulation the smoke will come inside with the wind thn going out. Secondly your sink is visible from the living area. You may have to keep it sparkling clean. In the current set up refrigerator can come opposite to the hob followed by a tall pantry unit. Keep the above in mind and take your call.
