Hi Maam/Sir, I would recommend you to share a better perspective pic of your room where the ceiling is also visible because if a room does not have enough of natural lighting then some artificial effect like a false ceiling treatment would really give a great boost to the look and feel of your space. I would also suggest you to follow a concept like i can see there are a lot of varied colorscheme happening in your room so changing a curtain will not be much help. You should find the right patterns maybe like adding some pastels or i can see that some red or maroon color is involved in your room so try to match the lighter version of these elements. One of my clients had no designated space for puja in their home, and they would have had to squeeze it into a passage somewhere. So when they came to me for ideas, I noticed in the floor plan that they had a beautiful covered verandah overlooking a private garden. Dear Mr. Surya, You could try an inside out concept with a house centered around a built forest/ structured landscaped areas. You could design the place in such a way that both the frontyard and the courtyard would be accesible/vislble from every room. For privacy, wood/metal jaalis would suffice. You could also place a waterbody in proximity to formal and informal living areas so that an outdoor deck doubles up when large volumes of guests need to be entertained. You could also incorporate an outdoor seating with fireplace and BBQ by the landscapes/ aquasccapes. In general, a green building which ensures cross ventilation, follows vaastu and sustainability principles could be packaged as one product and aesthetics seamlessly merges with functionality. Gazzala, You are taking a very wide shot. Without the pics and relative dimensions it's not feasible to give you any meaningful suggestion.
