Dear Amit, Thanks for working on the same and pointing out the things some of which I have not thought of.I am attaching the main design which was given to me by the builder.I She have worked in the main plan and made some changes as below: -She have clubbed common Bath as per the original plan with the MB to make it bigger,but no option was seen to extend the attach Bath. -I was thinking of keeping fridge at the kitchen and W.M inside the common Bath. -She have suggested sliding door in MB which I can change it. -I haven't thought regarding the position of the TV .You are correct that it will be too far. Can you please suggest how can I utilise the spaces in a better way. -The work which have been done is as below: 1)We have broken the common Bath wall and clubbed it with MB. 2)One wall of the kitchen have been broken to make it a open kitchen. 3)She have changed the location of the main entrance from 4th part of the south ,as I didn't have any option to change the location of the main entrance to other direction .As per her 4th part on the south from right is ok for entrance. 4)Right now the entrance is as per the builder design .We haven't changed it till now.

This is a fabulous room. It oozes a bygone charm that you would lose by adding false ceilings and tube lights. Please don't! Go all out to preserve this magnificent floor and the beautiful furniture. That mirror is superb, as is the old painting. Keep the wall colour as is and change the upholstery after polishing and keeping the beautiful wooden furniture. The upholstery is mismatchedat present. But the different styled armchairs look very comfortable. Keep them. No modern furniture will give you such comfort. When you re upholster, refrain from choosing firm foam and such nonsense. It is far better to have good quality down or cotton, which moulds to the body shape. Invest in a high quality traditional patterned Persian or Kashmiri carpet for a restrained stroke of colour. Your upholstery should pick up colours from this carpet. So should the curtains. Please never even consider vinyl blinds, horizontal and vertical. If you tamper with this room and remodel it to be 'modern'- you will lose a treasure.

Basically what i can understand now is priority is given only for vastu and other aspects of the design has been forgotten. My opinion would be redesigning the spaces along with vastu integration . A single idea of modification would not be feasible here. Please consider setbacks and other utility areas needed outside the residence as well ,for services integration. Thanks

Hey Rohit, One thing we have learned that it is difficult to convert our weaknesses to strengths, but it is very doable! 42' of living and dining room space could be advantageous! off the top of our heads, here are a few things you could do. Split the space into formal and informal seating areas, basically creating 2 rooms (not counting the dining) in one space Push the dining in the middle of the room, closer to the middle bedroom, and add a swing near the balcony. In case the large size makes it uncomfortable, you can add a partition between the dining and balcony. and design the space in a way that opening the balcony doors, converts your indoors to outdoors, creating the feel of a terrace. lastly, the simplest of solutions would be to add a partition (solid or otherwise) to divide in room into 2 parts, a living space and a dining space!
