Hi Rasa, Nice to hear from you and I’m glad I was able to give you some inspiration for your kitchen tiles. I’ve included another image for you to look at that shows more of a farm house style kitchen with the coloured tiles. If you worried the coloured tiles might look too contemporary for your space, I would advise going for quite soft, muted colour tones to give you the same effect but in a more rustic style. You can see in the attached image how they have used a soft sheen, textured tile in neutral tones, with a subtle hint of colour to be in-keeping with that farmhouse feel. For your tile colours, you could pick up the off white tone of your cabinets with the grey in the granite, and a very soft hint of green or blue to add a little colour to achieve the same look for your kitchen. I have also added some paint swatches below you could use as reference for tile colours to help you visualise the combination. I am assuming you haven't finalised your wall colours and colours of any other fixed elements. In case you have finalised your color scheme you would need to see which of these colours blend well or complement with that scheme. Assuming none of this info is available, then you could look at the neutrals which go with all colours. The white tile and the 2 colours at the end would be preferable. If you want color on the floor as well as drama, you can choose from the 2nd options from both sides or even the 1st from left.

The original tiles provided by the builder were 595 x 595 mm. And they were used continuously through the open kitchen and the passage that connected to the bedrooms. Changing tiles in the living room alone up to the edge would have resulted in non-alignment between the old and new tiles. Because currently the closest size available is 600 x600 mm. We did not want to disturb the kitchen tiles which were intact. So what we did was to retain the old tiles on the outer periphery of the living area, and replace the space in the middle with 600mm square tiles laid on the diagonal. So the problem of aligning 595 mm with 600 mm was eliminated. We chose Nitcos's Bianco Beige which is a beautiful mocha and contrasted reasonably well with the original cream tiles. Then we inserted Nitcos's mosaics into the pattern. Then created a simple dark chocolate border with Nitco Cuero to contain the centre 'carpet' pattern
