Rohit,

IMHO, 600x600 mm tiles are best suited for remodelling. If you are keen on larger tiles make sure layer has an experience of working with those.

Not sure of buffering for tiles. You may be referring to buffing which is a process of lightly sanding the tile with mild abrasive followed by a temporary polish which takes away accumulated dirt and stains.

However, this again needs professional hand as when mishandled abrasives can spoil the entire area.

Hi Rohit, there are some critical aspects that you have to consider before you change the flooring in a particular area of your house. For instance, is living room a separate space and is it demarcated from the rest of the house by a threshold at the door? Is there an open kitchen leading off it? how to treat the edges/transitions? I'll show you how we dealt with this problem in an apartment where the original tiles were breaking or 'tenting' along the centre line due to expansion of tiles

Thanks Cornerstone Design! Means a lot to get a compliment from a fellow designer :-) I have to add here that the client was very keen on changing the whole flooring to marble. But I held them back, because the woodwork was already done and any breaking of tiles would have damaged the furniture. The lady wanted to change the flooring later. And the husband was really relieved with this more economical option.

If you have big area than go for 2’x4’ tiles
