Comments (202)Pankaj, I just realized that initially you told us that the bathroom area was 12'-0" x 9'-0" and later you mentioned that it was 11'-8" x 8'-0". In the last floor plan, I forgot to change the bathroom with the new dimensions. Below is the floor plan with the correct dimensions for the bathroom. The bedroom is ok, I drew it 19'-2" x 12'-6". The new layout does not change the way things are placed. Everything still fit. The only difference is that the vanity is now 4'-4" long instead of 4'-8". and the toilet is closer to the shower by 1'-0". Can you give me the lengths of the walls K and L. They are the walls between the vanity and the shower area. I will send you the new layout once you give me the length of these 2 walls....See MoreLast piece of cabinet would not fit, opening 3/8 inch too narrow...
Comments (4)Rui, On the contrary, If you look from the left it should align with the base cabinet because they are in same size. Most likely, it will go off by 3/8 of an inch after the dish washer (as it has been wiggled in). It is too small a difference to be noticed by average person because they are at different heights. We are suggesting to change either the cabinet above sink or the single box above right of dishwasher. It will be easier and the filler will be least noticeable above the sink as the shutters are already of a different size. Good news, is that you may have the cabinet boxes already. You can check by placing them starting from the left most wall whether the above suggestion works for you. Thanks, Nitin Cornerstone Designs, Bangalore....See MoreDesign dilemma for living room
Comments (13)Hi Sarita, We would suggest three options - 1] You may place your sofas parallel and opposite to each other leaving the space in between to access the balcony. Not the best facilitation but it will give you an unobstructed space. Or you may place an L shaped sofa in front of the balcony door but leave space between the two for passage. This will help bring the sofa closer to the tv and leave you with easy access to the balcony. You can also put the tv unit on the left wall with a set of sofas in front. 2] Put a partition between the living and dining space that would house the tv unit on one side and the dining table on the other. This will screen the dining area and allow you to place your sofa(s) more flexibly and without obstructing the balcony. It would however make the dining area look a bit cramped. 3] Avoid putting the tv unit in the living space altogether. Put tv in your bedrooms instead. This will ensure privacy to the viewers even when there are guests over. You may also convert a bedroom into a tv room if you don't need it so that your formal and informal spaces stay separate. Hope these ideas help. Regards, RnD Atelier Nagpur...See MoreHelp with Living room layout
Comments (17)Hey, we have a solution to your question. We have kept in mind the furniture that you mentioned and is visible in the pictures posted. 1. We suggest a L shaped sofa (that you plan to buy from Urban Ladder) to be placed right in front of the entrance. You can use your wooden chairs along with it next to a coffee table in the middle. 2. You can keep your writing desk next to entrance as it is almost the same width. 3. We suggest you keep dining table in the centre of the room, as it will closer to kitchen in that place. 4. We suggest that you create a half partition using your own furniture in the other end of the room. You can place your white book shelf (books facing the wall) in the middle and tall white cabinet in front of it making a T shape as shown in the picture. 5. You should mount TV on wall to save space and beside the book shelf have a backless sitting for TV 6. Behind the book shelf you can have a floor sitting for your Tabla practice and book reading. 7. We recommend you put some indoor plants next to your L shaped sofa and a small floor candle stand or showpiece in front of kitchen wall.
