Need Help for designing my House!!
Comments (8)This is a dilemma indeed! Posts in the middle of rooms are always a little difficult. It would be helpful to have pictures of all four walls to suggest the best layout. From what I can understand of your dilemma, I've attached a layout that may work based on your description. It features a defined entry. So when you walk through the front door, you will see a console table with a couple of ottomans stashed beneath. They can come in handy for extra seating. In front of the console are two arm chairs, followed by a modular sectional - they make up your main seating area. To the right of the kitchen door is a TV console. Behind the sofa is a bookcase and to the right is a round table with a couple of chairs for games, paper work or what have you. You don't mention any windows. Is this the case? If so, we'll want to make sure you've got adequate lighting and colors that will work with the limited light. Hope this helps!...See MoreIs it a good (or bad) idea to have a common bathroom of 2 bedrooms?
Comments (32)I strongly second One Plan's idea about looking for another architect. If this one is not motivated, all the fame in the world is not going to help. An alternative approach to finding an architect is to find some good contractors who have built things you like. Ask them for architects' names. Make sure they work in your price range. In the meantime, you can find out from your local building department what the set back and height restrictions are. Are you required to build parking areas or garage space, what kind of airspace restrictions do you have for neighbors' views and sunlight, that kind of thing. Often this stuff is on city websites or handouts at the office....See MoreNeed help for bedroom
Comments (15)Hi, softyjane. You have a very pretty sheet set, and seem to like pink, so let's begin with a fresh coat of pink on all four walls. If someone can build you a little shelf to sit in the window, you could paint a basket, too, and put all your small items in it. Your food tray would make a nice picture background in the window. Then, some hooks on the right wall to hang your bags from will make things a bit roomier. White trim at the window will make it seem bigger, as well. If someone can do carpentry work for you, then you can create even more space by raising your bed high and making a loft bed with it. then you will have room below to put whatever you like - a chair, a desk, shelves - and place a curtain or bead strands in front for privacy. This is just to give some inspiration - yours will look special to your likes: http://i.ytimg.com/vi/5lDtTj0CQlo/0.jpg Hope that helps, and that you get the bedroom of your dreams!...See MoreRedesigning the Hall into a Bedroom
Comments (15)Hello there, You could install a lounge sofa cum bed for sleeping and entertaining guests as well . Try placing it in a corner and try to incorporate it into a formal living with accent chairs and a center table. Second, for an informal living, a 3+2 seater config with accent chairs, floor lamps, recliners etc. would suffice. In general, split the entryway area into formal living and the existing seating area into informal living. If still having issues with organising, it is always recommended to hire a design professional. Regards, Aurum Ideas and Spaces Bhubaneswar...See Moreharpua728
