Hello Mohar, as per this bedroom plan and your direction you are placing the bed on the North wall which is not suggestive. About the living cum bedroom, you should plan it in the Indian low sitting way so that it can be functional for both the purpose.

You could install a lounge sofa cum bed for sleeping and entertaining guests as well . Try placing it in a corner and try to incorporate it into a formal living with accent chairs and a center table.

Second, for an informal living, a 3+2 seater config with accent chairs, floor lamps, recliners etc. would suffice.

In general, split the entryway area into formal living and the existing seating area into informal living.

If still having issues with organising, it is always recommended to hire a design professional.

Put in a murphy/wall bed, and install a double-leaf door between living room and rest of the flat to turn it into a closed-off room at night for the privacy of your flatmate.

Have shown the bed and the door in green, and circled them in red.

I think this should probably cost you around Rs40k all told. If you don't want the fixed door, use a fibreglass door or an accordion sliding door, or else just hang up a curtain.

Second single seater floating and to be placed wherever you like. If you're buying all this new, set aside Rs1 lakh, not including the TV.
