Scandinavian bedroom design
Comments (5)Hi Shilpa, Scandinavian design is a beautiful and versatile design genre. A few things you need to keep in mind which is key to Scandinavian design is light and ventilation - so have large windows with no/ minimal grills. The warmth of the room comes from natural wood elements, hence if you do not have wooden flooring have some amount of distressed or old wood in the room in terms of side tables or wall hangings. Maintenance will be a key issue if you have all white walls and furniture , so remember to suit it more to the climatic conditions of where you are situated , so if in a city next to a busy dusty road, you might have to upkeep the room on a daily basis. Try to bring in some pop colour like coral or teal and of course invest in an original painting Hope this helps you Smitha...See MoreWhite glossy subway tile in India?

If you like us to deal with the purchase please contact us or you could call them directly to find out....See MoreJaipur Blue Pottery Tiles in the Kitchen
Comments (31)@Rock Doc: Are you addressing this to me? I haven't actually bought these tiles yet - when I do, I will definitely be going for the handmade ones. They're a work of art and irreplaceable in my opinion. However, there are also screen-printed tiles available in the market in more or less the same patterns; the workmanship is of course different, but you get them cheaper, and they're also more easily available. You could give that a shot. I'd recommend Aakaar Flooring Solutions - they're here on Houzz and are able to provide both the above-mentioned types....See MoreFlooring of Living Room
Comments (9)The original tiles provided by the builder were 595 x 595 mm. And they were used continuously through the open kitchen and the passage that connected to the bedrooms. Changing tiles in the living room alone up to the edge would have resulted in non-alignment between the old and new tiles. Because currently the closest size available is 600 x600 mm. We did not want to disturb the kitchen tiles which were intact. So what we did was to retain the old tiles on the outer periphery of the living area, and replace the space in the middle with 600mm square tiles laid on the diagonal. So the problem of aligning 595 mm with 600 mm was eliminated. We chose Nitcos's Bianco Beige which is a beautiful mocha and contrasted reasonably well with the original cream tiles. Then we inserted Nitcos's mosaics into the pattern. Then created a simple dark chocolate border with Nitco Cuero to contain the centre 'carpet' pattern...See Moremichelleb3
