Scandinavian bedroom design

Hi everyone! I'm in love with Scandinavian design and I'm looking to redo my bedroom with this style. I'm using the photo below for inspiration as my room is more or less the same structure, and there is a window on the right wall also. The difference is that I don't have wooden flooring instead our flooring is vitrified tiles- do you mirroring this look will still give the Scandinavian feel? I also wanted suggestion if there are some more elements I could add to this space?

Hi Shilpa! Scandinavian style is a great choice and i think you can still work it out if you have vitrified tiles.. Apart from the colour scheme and materials in the picture, you could bring in some copper or rose gold lighting fixture as a feature element... white, grey or blue paper-lanterns or a feather-inspired wall art would also add up to this Scandinavian style bedroom.

Hi Shilpa, Scandinavian design is a beautiful and versatile design genre. A few things you need to keep in mind which is key to Scandinavian design is light and ventilation - so have large windows with no/ minimal grills. The warmth of the room comes from natural wood elements, hence if you do not have wooden flooring have some amount of distressed or old wood in the room in terms of side tables or wall hangings. Maintenance will be a key issue if you have all white walls and furniture , so remember to suit it more to the climatic conditions of where you are situated , so if in a city next to a busy dusty road, you might have to upkeep the room on a daily basis. Try to bring in some pop colour like coral or teal and of course invest in an original painting

Why not paint it in a pastel colour? Add a carved chest that doubles up as shoe rack and organiser to store your shoes below and hold keys and bills in top drawers. You could hang a painting or a statement mirror above the chest and highlight with wall sconces or beautiful table lamps to shine a soft light around it.

hello shivam, you should not compromise with the standard dimensions for the bed and the wardrobe. you can plan for a sliding wardrobe to save space. 18" in the corner can be compromised a little by providing shutter at 42" and the space beneath that can have the side unit. you can explore Pinterest for some small bedroom ideas.

See if you want to decorate that room I have a great idea Paint 3 wall the same colour light themed and one wall little colourful like as your aesthetic if you want to know more ask me Go for wood or white furniture or you can use old one too assemble in a good way ( you can tell what you need I can tell how to organise it) Mirror, add one for showing more space it looks more modern and tropical vibes Cupboard colour and aesthetic that to match the wall

Consider some mid-century style Scandinavian furniture elements in your room. I'm not suggesting you go for a rocking chaise which we did for a client's bedroom but you get the idea.
