“Elizabeth Franke, the Architect at Third Land was able to accept a design challenge of a Master bath, and turn major problems with space and mechanical issues in to pure beauty and luxury. By adding her design elements we no longer had an ugly HVAC vent visible, but instead she was able to add framing covered in glass tile to create a "floating ceiling" that covered the unsightly vents but did not affect performance of the system. She also added other framing that was never thought of by others to separate the bathing ares from the sink areas. We are so happy with the results. She will design our entire new home in a few years.”

“We hired Janet to help us design our home on Lake Travis. She was an absolute delight to work with throughout the entire process. I am one of those clients that has a very specific idea of what I want. And Janet is one of those designers that actually listens to what the client has in mind, and then helps them make it even better. She wan't creating her idea of our perfect home, she was helping us create our vision for our home. She was timely and professional, but also has a great sense of humor. Probbably the only negative thing anyone could say about her is that she is a work-a-holic...because she truly loves what she does! Would I hire her again? Absolutely! When a remodeling project recently came up she was the first person that I called. I would recommend her again and again.”

“My wife and I owned a small two bedroom, one bath bugalow in the historic Heights neighborhood in Houston, Texas. When we decided we wanted to renovate the house to meet our specific needs, we wanted to find an architect that we felt comfortable working with, would be open to incorporating our ideas, and would be cognizant of preserving the historic features of the neighborhood. Bruce Roadcap met all this criteria and much more. Bruce was patient and guided us through the design process. He never pushed his ideas on us, but instead presented us with options to consider. I think Bruce's best quality is his ability to tune in to his clients tastes and needs. As a result, we worked together to come up with a wonderful design, which was documented in a professional, complete and thorough set of construction documents. But most importantly, Bruce supported us throughout the entire construction process, and beyond. His professional knowledge of the construction process, and ability to deal with contractors helped immensely. He made himself available to us at any time to offer his support and advice. Overall, it was a pleasure working with Bruce, and we are grateful to him for helping us build our dream home.”

“I had a joyful experience working with the Temples. Our house was solidly built. Our engineer friends were very impressed! Everyone who visited our French Country home were so complimentary of the beauty and design. The special touches such as the creative ceiling lines, immense amount of easy access storage, thoughtful planning of layout made it a special house. It was highly functional for our large family. I would love to rebuild this home again some day!”

In addition to the many ideas and pitfalls he helped us to avoid. “I recently hired Venture Four Architects and Ken Smith on the recommendation of my builder, Ron McGuire. I cannot say enough good things about Ken, his excellent design for our guest house, the firm and their stellar handling of our project from start to finish. They are incredible architects and produced our design plans within weeks (rather than the standard months that most firms take) for a price that my husband and I felt was extremely reasonable. “We found Ken Smith at Venture Four Architects through our realtor. From the beginning Ken strived to pinpoint what style and function we were trying to achieve by visiting existing homes with us and by reviewing dozens of photos that I sent to him. Once our budget was established, Ken worked diligently to incorporate as many of our requests as possible into our plan, sometimes achieving what started out to seem impossible. After we signed off on our plans, Ken continued to visit our building site in order to ensure that the home was being built to the proper specifications. He was an important ally for me throughout the process. Venture Four Architects has a unique process of the entire team reviewing each architects plans so as to provide the client with the most knowledge and experience available at the firm. This seemed an added bonus for us. We highly recommend Ken Smith and Venture Four Architects.”

“Joe Volpe designed our dream house! My husband and I have been planning for this for at least 25 years. We knew all of the components we wanted to include in our home, but we had no clue what it would look like. Joe took the time and genuine interest to design a house just for the spot we chose on our ranch in the Texas Hill Country. He was mindful of the exposure to sunlight, the breezes, and every room has a spectacular view. It's as close to perfection as possible. We highly recommend Joe to anyone wanting to design a home.”
