“Elizabeth Franke, the Architect at Third Land was able to accept a design challenge of a Master bath, and turn major problems with space and mechanical issues in to pure beauty and luxury. By adding her design elements we no longer had an ugly HVAC vent visible, but instead she was able to add framing covered in glass tile to create a "floating ceiling" that covered the unsightly vents but did not affect performance of the system. She also added other framing that was never thought of by others to separate the bathing ares from the sink areas. We are so happy with the results. She will design our entire new home in a few years.”

“Kai Geschke combined creativity and german efficiancy to design the perfect custom home for us! He listened carefully to our wants and needs and incorporated them beautifully into the technical work he did as our architect. He helped us think about aspects of designing a home that never would have occured to us and provided expertise in all the areas that we hired a professional for, while being considerate of our tastes and special needs. He worked to accomodate our timing and is quick to respond to questions or concerns. He has been great about making changes and seeing this process through to our complete satisfaction. “My wife and I owned a small two bedroom, one bath bugalow in the historic Heights neighborhood in Houston, Texas. When we decided we wanted to renovate the house to meet our specific needs, we wanted to find an architect that we felt comfortable working with, would be open to incorporating our ideas, and would be cognizant of preserving the historic features of the neighborhood. Bruce Roadcap met all this criteria and much more. Bruce was patient and guided us through the design process. He never pushed his ideas on us, but instead presented us with options to consider. I think Bruce's best quality is his ability to tune in to his clients tastes and needs. As a result, we worked together to come up with a wonderful design, which was documented in a professional, complete and thorough set of construction documents. But most importantly, Bruce supported us throughout the entire construction process, and beyond. His professional knowledge of the construction process, and ability to deal with contractors helped immensely. He made himself available to us at any time to offer his support and advice. Overall, it was a pleasure working with Bruce, and we are grateful to him for helping us build our dream home.”

“I had a joyful experience working with the Temples. Our house was solidly built. Our engineer friends were very impressed! Everyone who visited our French Country home were so complimentary of the beauty and design. The special touches such as the creative ceiling lines, immense amount of easy access storage, thoughtful planning of layout made it a special house. It was highly functional for our large family. I would love to rebuild this home again some day!”

In addition to the many ideas and pitfalls he helped us to avoid. Richard was more than flexible when it came to design changes mid project by not making us pay change order fees throughout the project. Highly recommend!”

“I recently hired Venture Four Architects and Ken Smith on the recommendation of my builder, Ron McGuire. I cannot say enough good things about Ken, his excellent design for our guest house, the firm and their stellar handling of our project from start to finish. They are incredible architects and produced our design plans within weeks (rather than the standard months that most firms take) for a price that my husband and I felt was extremely reasonable. I would recommend Ken Smith and Venture Four Architects to anyone looking for a professional, reliable architect who listens to the client and then helps create the desired design on time and within budget. Five stars!”
