A hand made kitchen painted in Farrow and Ball Pavilion Grey on the cabinetry and Railings on the island unit. The worktops themselves are a Quartz material and there is also a raised section of worktop behind the Aga giving a useful shelf. The traditional chimney style mantle hides a modern extractor motor and has reduced depth piers allowing for an additional domino induction hob to be sited next to the Aga. The sink run contains a pull out bin system hidden within the cabinets and a matching Quartz worktop. The breakfast cabinet serves as the final break before the living space. When the top doors are opened it reveals a serviceable worktop with built in sockets. The tall housings are grouped together, the central section is a double larder with internal features to organise the space, solid oak drawers and bottle racks on doors giving ease of access. A large American fridge copes with the cooling capacity required for the family and there is an additional oven for the summer months when the Aga is switched off. www.rencraft.co.uk

Perched atop a bluff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, this new residence adds a modern twist to the classic Shingle Style. The house is anchored to the land by stone retaining walls made entirely of granite taken from the site during construction. A complete contemporary backyard project was taken to another level of design. This amazing backyard was completed in the beginning of 2013 in Weston, Florida. The project included an Outdoor Kitchen with equipment by Lynx, and finished with Emperador Light Marble and a Spanish stone on walls. Also, a 32” X 16” wooden pergola attached to the house with a customized wooden wall for the TV on a structured bench with the same finishes matching the Outdoor Kitchen. The project also consist of outdoor furniture by The Patio District, pool deck with gold travertine material, and an ivy wall with LED lights and custom construction with Black Absolute granite finish and grey stone on walls. BYTR architects designd the extension of this charming detached house in the old town of Zeist (NL). The characteristic contour of the existing home is used as a reference for the of 19th century house. Two modern gable roofs, together with the historical mansard roof make a surprising composition. The extension of the house has doubled the living space. Despite the increase in volume, you experience the new building from the street as a little addition. The extension is hidden behind the existing building. Also inside you experience the expressive roof shape which creates a spacious and contemporary atmosphere. The monolithic extension contrasts in materials and detailing of the existing house. The relief of the old brick walls defines the contrast with the anthracite flat façade panel of the extension. The interior also shows the contrast between old and new. Through a large sliding façade you step into the modern living kitchen. A tight plastered ceiling and concrete floor stands in contracst to the original wooden beams and an oak parquet. Classic and modern brought together in a charming way.

Everything about this bedroom screams comfort. The thick dark sheets and use of large pillows makes this an appealing bedroom all round. The Nordlux Blow ceiling pendant, in a grey finish, really brings the whole room together.
