The clients wanted a soothing retreat for their bedroom so stayed with a calming color on the walls and bedding. Soft silk striped window treatments frame the bay window and seating area.

Light and Bright and Open Family Dining Space

A great way to brighten up a bedroom is with painted nightstands. In this case, we wanted to maintain a calming environment with neutral wall colors and bedding. To add a bit of cheer to the space, we upholstered two lounge chairs and painted both nightstands similar shaded of aqua. Martha O'Hara Interiors, Interior Design | L. Media Room

Formal dining room: This light-drenched dining room in suburban New Jersery was transformed into a serene and comfortable space, with both luxurious elements and livability for families. Moody grasscloth wallpaper lines the entire room above the wainscoting and two aged brass lantern pendants line up with the tall windows. We added linen drapery for softness with stylish wood cube finials to coordinate with the wood of the farmhouse table and chairs. We chose a distressed wood dining table with a soft texture to will hide blemishes over time, as this is a family-family space. We kept the space neutral in tone to both allow for vibrant tablescapes during large family gatherings, and to let the many textures create visual depth. The large basement rec room is a perfect TV room, game room, or home office. Walls are painted in SW#7029 Agreeable Gray, carpet is Groundworks Plus 190 Granite Peaks.

Cute Girl's Room

This lovely Regency building is in a magnificent setting with fabulous sea views. The Regents were influenced by Classical Greece as well as cultures from further afield including China, India and Egypt. Our brief was to preserve and cherish the original elements of the building, while making a feature of our client’s impressive art collection. Where items are fixed (such as the kitchen and bathrooms) we used traditional styles that are sympathetic to the Regency era. Where items are freestanding or easy to move, then we used contemporary furniture & fittings that complemented the artwork. The colours from the artwork inspired us to create a flow from one room to the next and each room was carefully considered for its’ use and it’s aspect. We commissioned some incredibly talented artisans to create bespoke mosaics, furniture and ceramic features which all made an amazing contribution to the building’s narrative.
