Farmhouse Addition & Remodel, Kirkland, WA
The owners wished to construct an addition that greatly increased the size of their home, improved the layout, and improved the visual appeal of the home. The home, an original 1920’s dairy farmhouse had received additions in the past. The addition nearly doubled the area of the lower level and created a new porch, entry hall, dining room, and master bedroom suite. The exterior remains true to the original farmhouse character while the interior of the new spaces accommodates the owner’s desire for a more formal style trim and woodwork.
Duxborough Designs
The kitchen area was nestled partly under the existing second story, with rest open to the lofty ceiling and stairwell area. The large square pillars are not only structural, and give a robust look to the work they do, plus they have space for mechanicals.

Sicora Design/Build
This larger lot had mature trees, but the house was nothing to get excited about, so we decided to build new. A covered porch and rear patio of the kitchen provide great access areas to entertain guests. The living room has coffered beams and a fireplace with custom Rift Sawn Cabinetry. The kitchen is thoughtfully designed and includes a walk in pantry. The home boasts an attached garage, mudroom, a spa-like master suite and an upper level laundry. This home features an open floor plan you are sure to love.
