MLB Design GroupThe renovation involved adding a sleeping loft above the existing structure (which actually floats on huge logs). Because it's not an "official bedroom," this staircase by The Iron Shop is allowable. I "waterfalled" the countertops to wrap cabinet sides for a more interesting look. The existing rounded door to storage/laundry was refinished/refitted. Heated blue stone tile floors keep this kitchen cozy. Beams across the ceiling support the upper structure as does wood post in foreground. There are two sinks in this tiny galley kitchen. Kohler's "trough sink" sits below window in this view, creating a highly functional prep area adjacent to range top.

Cummings Architecture + InteriorsWe gave this Newburyport, Massachusetts townhouse a second life with a full renovation that built upon the impeccable bones of the old building. Salvaged wood and soapstone elements in the kitchen design complement the existing timber ceiling and brick walls while adding additional texture. We refinished the pine floors throughout and added hidden ceiling lights that provide illumination and ambiance without compromising the architectural lines of the space.
Beautifully crafted, handmade cabinetry and molding details added to the bedrooms and baths coordinate with the existing Indian shutters. By maintaining respect for its historic authenticity we were able to create for the owners a very special home that resonates with comfort and warmth.

Dunlap Design Group, LLCThis new construction home is situated in an upscale enclave. We were brought in at the very beginning of the building process, so we were able to make modifications to the plans and add many custom features. Local artisans were employed to create pieces throughout the home. A blacksmith fabricated an amazing staircase railing, art glass designs were incorporated into all the cabinets, and furniture of the highest quality was used. The style combined his love of the Arts and Crafts style with her affinity for contemporary furniture. Of course, the clean lines of both styles work well together. The “real” art here is the spectacular view, so we capitalized on the colors outside.
